Almost nobody stocks this colour. That is the whole point of the jacket. Walk into any high street shop and you will find black, brown and occasionally burgundy. That is where it stops. A mens yellow leather jacket is not something you will see coming the other way down the street.

Jacket, coat or motorcycle jacket

Searched for in a few different ways. A yellow leather coat, a yellow motorcycle jacket and a mens yellow jacket all point at this. Coat usually means something longer. Plenty of people use it for a jacket at this length though. Motorcycle and biker mean the same cut, which is what this is.

What it is made of

Cowhide, the heavier of the two hides we use, so it holds its shape rather than going soft after a season. Inside is a lining that lets it pull on easily over a jumper.

Biker detailing

A lapel collar folds back at the front. A YKK zip runs up the middle. Epaulettes sit on the shoulders. The cuffs have zips so you can close the sleeves tight. An adjustable belt at the waist pulls the jacket in. Two zipped pockets at the waist and one inside. The zips matter more here than on most jackets. A bright colour shows a sagging pocket in a way black never does.

How to wear it

Keep everything else quiet. Plain dark denim, a black or white t shirt, and let the jacket do the work. This colour with another strong colour is where it goes wrong. It suits spring and autumn rather than deep winter. There is a single layer of leather and no insulation in it.

Fit

Close through the chest and shoulder, the way a biker jacket should sit. Measure round the fullest part of your chest over a shirt. Check the table on this page rather than going by your usual high street size. Sizes run XS to 3XL.
