Real leather £129.00A coloured leather jacket is a bigger decision than a black one and everybody knows it walking in. The trick is picking the shade that does what you want. Burgundy reads as considered. Bright red reads as confident. There is a lot of ground between them.
Red, burgundy, oxblood and maroon
Burgundy and maroon are the deep ones with brown or purple in them, and they behave almost like a neutral once they are on. Oxblood is darker again and the easiest to wear with black. Cherry and bright red are the ones people notice from across a room. If you have never owned a coloured jacket, start at the burgundy end.
The red and burgundy jackets we make
A mens red leather jacket is usually a biker or a cafe racer, because those shapes carry a strong colour without looking like fancy dress. Women also have cropped and belted cuts in burgundy. There are a few burgundy shearling pieces as well, which is an unusual combination and one of the nicer things we sell.
Black and red, white and red
Two tone racing jackets put the colour in the sleeves or panels and leave the body black or white. It is a way of wearing red without the whole jacket being red, and it is the version most men go for first.
Wearing red without it wearing you
Keep everything else quiet. Burgundy over a plain black jumper with dark denim works every time. Red with more red does not. If you want the colour to sit back rather than lead, pick the darkest shade on the page and let the light do the rest.
What size to buy
Measure round the fullest part of your chest over a shirt and use the table on the product page rather than your usual high street size. Between sizes with a jumper underneath, take the larger.
Made to order, and how long it takes
Cut and stitched in your size after you order, which is why it takes longer than ready made stock. The date on the product page is the real one, UK delivery is free and returns are open for 14 days. If the colour feels a step too far, the brown page is the halfway house.
