Women Cropped Leather Jackets

A cropped leather jacket finishes at or just above the waist instead of at the hip. That one change does more for an outfit than the colour or the finish ever will, because it puts the hem at the narrowest point rather than the widest.

Who a cropped leather jacket works for

Boxy and oversized. An oversized cropped leather jacket is wide through the body and short in the length at the same time. It sounds like a contradiction and it is the shape that has grown fastest.

Black, brown and burgundy

A black cropped leather jacket is the one to own first, and a black cropped leather blazer is the most useful single thing here if you ever need to look smart. Brown is softer and has been outselling black in the longer cuts. Burgundy reads as a choice rather than a default.

Getting the length right

Cropped is not a size, it is a cut, so do not size down to get one. Check the back length on the product page, which is measured from the base of the collar to the hem. Around 50cm sits at the waist on most people and anything under 45cm is properly short. Measure a jacket you already own and compare.

For the fit itself, measure round the fullest part of your bust over a light top and use the table on the product page.
