Real leather £130.00A high collar leather jacket changes how the whole thing sits on you. Zip it to the top and the collar stands up by itself, covering your neck and keeping the wind off. Drop the zip and it folds down flat. Two looks out of one jacket.
High collar, stand collar and funnel neck are not the same thing
Three names, same idea, different heights. On a cafe racer it is a short band with a snap tab. A bit taller and it becomes a high collar, usually done up with buttons or a second zip. Taller again and cut away from the throat, that one is a funnel neck. Every product page tells you which collar the jacket actually has. If you want the opposite of all this, we keep a separate page of collarless leather jackets with no collar at all.
Why men buy a high collar leather jacket
A mens high collar jacket has no lapels, so there is nothing flapping about when it is windy. It works with a scarf and it works without one. If you wear a lot of crew necks and you do not like a shirt collar poking out, a leather jacket with a high collar sorts that out. Most of our high collar jackets sit in the men’s range, with a handful cut for women.
What leather we use
Everything on this page is real leather. Cowhide, lambskin or sheep leather, and the product page says which one. Where a lining is faux we write faux on the page. You should not have to guess what you are buying.
What size high collar jacket to buy
A stand collar sits closer to the body than a lapel jacket, so your chest and shoulder measurement matters more here than it would on something loose. Put a tape round the fullest part of your chest, over a shirt, and check it against the table on the product page. If you land between two sizes and you want a jumper to fit underneath, go up.
Black, brown and burgundy
Black is the safe one and the one most people buy first. Brown has been selling harder these last two years and honestly suits more people than black does. Burgundy sits in between and looks like you picked it on purpose.
Made to order, and what that does to delivery
Your jacket gets made after you order it, in the size you picked. That is why it takes longer here than at a shop selling off the shelf. The delivery date on the product page is the real one. UK delivery is free.
If the high collar is not quite it, try a bomber jacket for the ribbed version of the same clean neckline, or a suede jacket if you want something softer.
