The louder of the two Captain America jackets we make. Panels in more than one colour across the body, with the same high tab collar that carries the whole look.

It is our own jacket built to that look rather than official merchandise, and we hold no licence.

The build

Cowhide leather with a satin lining. A tab Nehru style collar closes at the neck. YKK zip up the front, tab closed sleeves, and a pocket on the inside. Panelled jackets live or die on the stitching, which is why this one is cut in cowhide rather than a lighter hide that would pull at the seams.

Wearing it

This is the more committed of the two. It is a costume jacket first and an everyday jacket second, which is worth knowing before you order. If you want something you will wear through November, the plain blue version is the better buy.

Sizing

Measure round the fullest part of your chest over a t shirt and check the table on this page. Panelled jackets show a bad fit more than plain ones do, because the panels stop lining up where they should. Sizes run XS to 3XL.

Order by Tuesday 13 October

Every jacket is cut and stitched in your size after you order, so we need the time. Order by 12pm on Tuesday 13 October and it reaches you before the 31st. After that we cannot promise it for Halloween, and we would rather say so than take your money.

Looking after it

Wipe it with a damp cloth when it needs it. Use a leather conditioner once or twice a year. Keep it away from radiators, because heat dries leather out and cracks it. Hang it on a wide hanger, never a wire one. Wire cuts a dent into the shoulder over time. If it gets caught in rain, hang it somewhere airy. Let it dry on its own rather than speeding it up with heat.

Multi coloured or multi colored

Spelled either way depending on which side of the Atlantic you learned it. A multi coloured biker jacket and a multi colored leather jacket are the same thing, and this is ours. The panels carry more than one colour across the body, which is what separates it from the plain blue version. Some people search for it as a captain america leather motorcycle jacket, which is also this.
