A black biker style jacket with a grey hood set under the collar, printed artwork across the back and down both sleeves, and a ribbed hem. It is built to be worn with the hood up as much as down.

Punisher jacket, punisher coat or motorcycle jacket?

People search for this as a punisher jacket, a punisher black jacket, a punisher motorcycle jacket, and now and then as a punisher coat. It is a jacket rather than a coat. It finishes at the hip with a ribbed hem, so it sits closer to a biker than to anything long.

The hood

The hood is grey fabric and sits beneath the shirt collar, so the collar still folds down properly over it. Pulled up, it covers the head against wind and light rain. Left down, it rests across the shoulders and breaks up the black.

Zips, pockets and epaulettes

A zip runs up the front. There is a zipped pocket across the chest and two more zipped pockets at the sides, so nothing falls out. Epaulettes sit on the shoulders, which is the detail that gives it the biker outline.

The printed artwork

The largest print is the skull across the back. The sleeves carry lettering and badges running down from the shoulder. The front is kept mostly plain, so the jacket reads quieter from the front than from behind.

Sizing

Measure round the fullest part of your chest over a t shirt, keep the tape level, and use the table on this page rather than your usual high street size. The ribbed hem pulls the jacket in at the waist. Sizes run XS to 3XL.

Looking after it

Wipe it with a damp cloth when it needs it. Never put it in a washing machine, and keep the printed areas away from heat, because heat is what cracks and lifts a print. Hang it on a broad hanger with the hood left down.
