Men’s Black Sheepskin B3 Aviator Jacket with Real Shearling

Black sheepskin lined with natural white shearling wool, a thick white collar, shearling at the hem and cuffs, and leather straps at the waist. It is the B3 built the proper way, with the fleece still on the hide.

Real shearling, not faux

Worth saying clearly, because we sell both. The lining here is natural shearling wool, which is warmer, breathes better and lasts far longer than a polyester fleece. That is the reason for the price. If you want the same shape for less, our black B3 with faux fur is the lighter option.

B3, aviator or pilot jacket?

All three describe it. B3 is the original military designation. People search for a sheepskin aviator jacket for men, a sheepskin pilot jacket or a mens black leather flying jacket, and this is the one.

The collar and the hood

The white shearling collar is wide and turns up to close round the neck. The hood is detachable, so you can wear it for the worst weather and take it off the rest of the time.

Straps, zip and pockets

A heavy duty metal zip runs up the front. Adjustable leather straps at the waist pull the hem in so wind cannot get underneath. Two slanted pockets at the sides.

The fit

It is a regular fit with a slight taper. The shearling takes up room inside, so it is not a jacket for a thick jumper underneath.

Sizing

Take your usual size and wear a thinner layer underneath. Measure round the fullest part of your chest over a t shirt and check the table. Sizes run XS to 3XL.

Looking after sheepskin

Keep it away from direct heat. If it gets wet, hang it somewhere airy and let it dry on its own. Brush the shearling back up when it flattens. Use a cleaner who handles sheepskin.
