Men’s Black Leather Varsity Jacket
Black leather body and sleeves, with white piping round the neck, down the front and along the hem, and striped ribbing at the cuffs. No felt letter, no contrasting sleeves, no team name. Just the varsity shape stripped back to the cut itself.
Varsity, letterman or baseball jacket?
Three names, one garment. Varsity is what most people in this country say. Letterman is the American word, from the embroidered letter awarded for a sport. A baseball jacket means the same shape again. If you typed a leather varsity jacket, a leather letterman jacket or a black baseball jacket, this is it.
What it is made of
Real leather, and sheepskin specifically, which is the softer of the hides we use. The finish is semi aniline, so the grain of the hide still shows through rather than being covered by a heavy coating. Inside there is a quilted polyester lining, which adds warmth without weight.
Why an all leather varsity is different
The traditional version uses wool for the body and leather only for the sleeves. This one is leather throughout. It makes the jacket heavier, warmer and considerably less like a school uniform. The piping and the striped cuffs are the parts that carry the original look.
The raglan sleeves
The sleeve seam runs from the neckline to the underarm instead of sitting on top of the shoulder. That is what gives a varsity its rounded shoulder line and why it moves more easily than a set in sleeve. Two pockets at the waist and two more inside.
Sizing
The ribbed cuffs pull the sleeves in at the wrist, so it looks closer fitting than the measurements suggest. Take your normal size. Measure round the fullest part of your chest over a t shirt and check the table on this page. Sizes run XS to 3XL.
Looking after it
Wipe the leather with a damp cloth and cold water. Condition it once a year. The ribbed cuffs keep their shape better if you hang the jacket rather than folding it. Keep it off radiators and use a wide hanger.

Return & Refund
You can request a return, exchange, or refund within 14 days of delivery, then send the item back within 14 more days. Return postage is paid by the customer unless the item arrives faulty, damaged or not as described.If an item has been worn beyond trying on, altered, cut, damaged, marked or returned without its tags, we may reduce your refund to reflect the loss in value, up to the full price if it cannot be resold.
Items must be unused, in original condition, and with all tags attached.
Custom or made-to-measure jackets are not eligible for return or refund unless they arrive damaged or defective.
Refunds (if approved) are processed within 5–7 business days after inspection, excluding Stripe transaction fees.
