Men’s RAF B3 Sheepskin Bomber Jacket with Ginger Shearling
Black sheepskin with ginger shearling at the collar, the cuffs and the hem, tan leather piping along the zip and a belt across the waist. It is the RAF look people picture when they think of a wartime flying jacket.
The RAF look
The ginger shearling against black leather is the classic colouring of the B3 worn by bomber crews. People search for an RAF B3, a b3 aviator jacket or a b3 sheepskin jacket, and this is the traditional version.
B3, bomber or flight jacket?
All three names describe it. B3 is the original designation, bomber comes from the crews who wore it, and flight jacket is the broader term. The shape is short and belted, built to be worn sitting down.
What it is made of
Sheepskin leather outside, with thick ginger shearling at the collar, the cuffs and the hem. The shirt style shearling collar folds down across the shoulders and turns up against the wind.
The belt and the zip
A belt with a buckle crosses the hem so you can pull the jacket in and stop cold air getting underneath. Tan leather piping runs along the zip, which is the small detail that makes it look right.
Which B3 is this one?
We make several. This is the ginger shearling one without a hood. If you want a fur hood, see our black B3 with a cream hood. If you want the jacket fully lined in natural shearling, the real shearling B3 is that one.
Sizing
Measure round the fullest part of your chest over a jumper, since this is a winter jacket, and check the table on this page. Sizes run XS to 3XL.
Looking after it
Keep it away from direct heat. If it gets wet, let it dry on its own somewhere airy. Brush the shearling back up when it flattens, and condition the leather once a year.

Return & Refund
You can request a return, exchange, or refund within 14 days of delivery, then send the item back within 14 more days. Return postage is paid by the customer unless the item arrives faulty, damaged or not as described.If an item has been worn beyond trying on, altered, cut, damaged, marked or returned without its tags, we may reduce your refund to reflect the loss in value, up to the full price if it cannot be resold.
Items must be unused, in original condition, and with all tags attached.
Custom or made-to-measure jackets are not eligible for return or refund unless they arrive damaged or defective.
Refunds (if approved) are processed within 5–7 business days after inspection, excluding Stripe transaction fees.
