Fight Club Style Red Leather Jacket

Bright red leather, wide notch lapels and buttons down the front instead of a zip. It is one of the few film jackets people recognise from the collar alone, and it is cut to that shape here.

This is our own jacket, made to the look worn on screen. It is not official merchandise, we have no connection to the film or the studio, and we hold no licence.

Tyler Durden, Fight Club or the Brad Pitt red jacket?

All three get searched and all three mean this one. A Tyler Durden jacket, a Fight Club red leather jacket, or simply the Brad Pitt red leather jacket. The character is who most people remember, the film comes second and the actor third. Whichever you typed, this is the red one with the lapels.

What it is made of

Real leather outside with a soft viscose lining inside. Viscose is the smooth lining that lets a jacket go on over a jumper rather than gripping your sleeves. The stitching is picked out in a contrast thread, which is what gives the panels their outline.

Buttons, lapels and five pockets

It buttons up the front rather than zipping, which is the detail most copies get wrong. The notch lapels fold back wide across the chest. There are two large flap pockets at the front, a breast pocket, and two more inside. The fit is regular, so it sits straight rather than close.

How red it actually is

This is a proper bright red, not a burgundy or an oxblood. Under shop lighting it reads almost cherry. It is meant to be noticed, and there is no quiet way to wear it. If you want something darker, our red and burgundy leather jackets cover the deeper shades.

Sizing

Measure round the fullest part of your chest over a t shirt, keeping the tape level, then use the table on this page rather than your usual high street size. A regular fit gives you room for a shirt underneath. Sizes run XS to 3XL.

Looking after red leather

Wipe it with a damp cloth and cold water when it needs it. Condition the leather once or twice a year so the colour stays deep. Keep it out of long sunlight, which fades a bright red faster than it fades black. Never dry it on a radiator.
