Buying a leather jacket in Edinburgh
Let us get the obvious out of the way first. We do not have a shop in Edinburgh. There is no unit on Princes Street and nobody to try things on with. We are an online shop that delivers free anywhere in Scotland, and the measurements table on every product page is doing the job the changing room would.
What Edinburgh weather actually needs
Edinburgh is colder and windier than almost anywhere else we deliver to, and the wind off the Forth is the part people underestimate. A plain leather jacket will stop that wind but it will not keep you warm on its own in January. If you want one jacket that handles a Scottish winter without layering, buy sheepskin or a B3 flying jacket, where the fleece is attached to the hide rather than sewn in.
For the rest of the year a biker or cafe racer over a jumper is plenty. Leave suede for dry spells, because Edinburgh rain and suede nap are not friends.
Delivery to Edinburgh
Free, and to the same timescale as the rest of the UK. Your jacket is cut and stitched in your size after you order, so the date shown on the product page is a real date rather than a guess. Scottish postcodes are not surcharged and there is no minimum order.
Sizing without trying it on
Measure round the fullest part of your chest over a shirt, keep the tape level, and compare it with the table on the product page rather than going by the size you take on the high street. Leather is cut closer than a coat. If you are between sizes and want a jumper underneath, take the larger one. Returns are open for 14 days if it is wrong.
