Women’s Black Satin Bomber Jacket, Taylor Tomlinson Style

A black satin bomber with a zip front, a ribbed collar and ribbed cuffs. It is the jacket worn on stage in the photographs, light enough to perform in under hot lights and sharp enough to look deliberate.

This is our own jacket, made to the look worn on stage. It is not official merchandise, we have no connection to Taylor Tomlinson, and we hold no licence.

Satin, not leather

What a satin bomber is

It is the flight jacket shape, the one with a ribbed collar and ribbed cuffs, made in satin instead of nylon or leather. The satin gives it a soft sheen that catches the light, which is why it photographs so well on stage.

What it is made of

Satin outside and a viscose lining inside. Viscose is the smooth lining that lets it go on over a t shirt or a thin knit without gripping your sleeves.

Collar, zip and pockets

A zip runs straight up the front, and the ribbed collar sits close round the neck. There are two pockets at the front and one inside. The cuffs are ribbed, so the sleeves hold at the wrist.

How to wear it

Over a plain t shirt and dark jeans, exactly as it is worn on stage. Zipped or open, it keeps the same clean line. It is a light jacket, so it suits spring, early autumn and a night out indoors.

Take your normal size. Measure round the fullest part of your chest over a t shirt and check the table on this page. Sizes run XS to 3XL.

Looking after satin

Satin snags, so keep it away from rough surfaces, jewellery and velcro. Follow the care label inside. Hang it rather than folding it, and keep it away from direct heat.
